In a world with mortal ills prevailing, devils assailing
our God is a God who is never failing!
A helper He, amid the floods railing
over the levies of life making our hearts heavy!
But He's a bulwark, a fortress
against the dark forces seeking to work us woe!
For still that ancient foe, whose craft and power is great
strapped with murderous hate, there's no equal!
So how can we strive against the prince who attempts

There's no need to fear, for God has decreed

So we'll endure his rage, with a word from the page

With that word, above all dominion
preserved and still heard despite all opinions!
And through the spirit and the gifts in them
God's people got a guarantee He'll be with Him!
So the loss of material- wealth, and immaterial- health
and kinfolk are slim and then hope!

to the love of this life and be loving the light!
The love of the Christ, that's brought covenant life
ignites, through the fight, so we sing with all of our might!
Elohim is our fortress, even when crossed with
demonic forces, scheming to torch us
if it seems we lost, we can team with our voices
and scream with a boisterous- Our God is our fortress!
God's our ever present help, refuge and tower
death You devour, with rescuing power!
When earthquakes scale off the rictor
greatest physical commotions, to the mountains and oceans
God won't fail He's the victor, read scripture

We're fixed as Your tent
our Dad can stop the catastrophic category 5 cataclysmic event!
Where Satan would harm, we shall be delivered
there's rivers of living water within your borders
